Katie Price puffs on a vape as she slams fans for 'distorting' voice in viral clip

Katie Price performed the classic Disney track alongside her then-husband Peter Andre on BBC’s Children In Need back in 2005, and she was heavily criticised for failing to hit any notes

Katie Price puffed on a vape as she slammed fans for “distorting” her singing voice in A Whole New World video.

Back in 2005, Katie and then-husband Peter Andre performed A Whole New World during BBC ’s star-studded Children in Need show, but viewers were stunned as the former glamour model failed to hit any of the notes. Katie discussed the clip, which is now going viral on TikTok, during the latest episode of her Katie Price Show podcast, and she told younger sister and co-host Sophie that the footage had been edited to make her look bad.

Quizzed by her fans over her performance, Katie alleged there was an unedited clip that could prove she was a great singer. “Can Katie tell us where that clip is of her singing A Whole New World really badly came from?” Sophie asked, before adding: “I think I’ve seen this on TikTok, I don’t know if you would’ve seen it.”

Footage from the clip was shown, with Katie struggling to hit the notes, as the mum-of-five looked embarrassed while listening to her vocals. “I can tell you exactly where that came from. Obviously someone’s tried to distort it, and make me sound s**t,” Katie fumed, as Sophie said she “thought that” it had been edited badly. “People have seen me on TikTok singing it live to know that I can sing it.” Katie then burst into a rendition of the classic song, while her younger sister rolled her eyes and said to someone off screen, “Oh f***ing hell.”

The TV star continued her tirade, and insisted she planned to sing the song again just to prove a point. “As you all know, whatever I do, people try and knock it, damage it, do something to it to discredit me all the time. But I can sing it. I’ve done it many times. I can sing it live, and maybe one day I’ll sing it again,” she fired. However, Katie’s followers didn’t believe her claims, and as she posted a clip from her podcast on Instagram, they were quick to bash her accusations.

“Oh c'mon pricey! I love you girl but I don't think anyone is going out of their way to "distort" the clip! You can sing, but you were probably super nervous there…” one commented, while another fired: “Oh Katie some did not distort it, you really cannot sing, your singing career never took off because you just cannot sing.” One follower thought she must be joking, and wrote: “I don't know if you're kidding or not.. you maybe a bit deluded Katie.”

However, her loyal fans defended her in the lively comments section of her post, and said they believed the footage of her singing had been edited. “Katie didn’t sound like that singing it all, she sounded very good. Katie can actually sing. You can tell it’s been distorted. Also quite scary now that you can take people’s videos & pictures & edit them to something different,” one claimed.

While others were simply furious with Katie for openly vaping on camera, as the controversial star was seen puffing away on the electronic device while talking. “Vaping on camera is so irresponsible, especially with your mums lung disease,” one fumed. “Vaping ffs …. A very bad advert for your younger fans, show some responsibility please,” another ranted.
